The Griffon Growl comes back to Coventry

Post by CameronSys » Sat Oct 15, 2016 9:35 pm

This afternoon at Coventry, it was excellent to see Nimrod XV232 and Shackleton WR963 running again after a few months not running. Both aircraft ran on time and appeared to run well! Well done on the runs today to the teams, and thanks for a good afternoon. I wish both teams the best with continuing runs and look forward to attending their future events - please support them! I would certainly recommend attending future engine runs events!

The Nimrod ran first, and its 4 RR Spey engines bought the expected defeaning roar and smoke at high power. An impressive spectacle!

2. Nothing to be alarmed about!

And after the Nimrod shut down, it was time for the Shackleton to take centre stage and bring the growl back to Coventry
3. Bit of a smoky start

7. The Shackleton was clearly happy to be running again! Nice big grin..

Thanks for looking!
