The squadron with the purple fin band shown in these photos was the 510th TFS.
They still use a purple fin band today on their F-16s as part of the 31st FW at Aviano although it's now a more blueish shade of purple.

Yes, they are known as The Buzzards, hence the stylised bird's head in the fin stripe on their A-10s.
