Rounding of the British stuff captured during the period, a selection of miscellaneous aircraft.

KG661 (ZA947) DC3 RAE. Couldn't believe this when I saw it on the VASS pan. This aircraft was bought by the RAE from the civil register and was an ex RAF machine and given its old reg KG661. However it was later discovered it wasn't that particular airframe and its identity couldn't be established, so it was later given the reg ZA947 and is now part of the BBMF.

XH671 K2 57 SQN. This was the only Victor I saw at Lossie, this particular aircraft was an overnight diversion after supporting a "Q" launch from Leuchers.

Thanks for sharing these with us, as always some interesting shots. One correction, the Dakota has never carried a civil registration. Post war, it remained in service with the RCAF, until passed to the UK, where I suppose someone assumed that 661 was KG661.

That was what happened
It was originally C-47A 42-24338 then 661
