Google it, most reviews are great for the lens but a few mention the weight. Never used it myself though
The last time I saw an F22 at Lakenheath i DIDN'T photoshop it...

I use a sigma 100-300mm F4 lens on a Nikon d90, does weigh a bit but im happy with the quality of it. Use a 1.4x tele converter on it as well if I need a bit more distance.

Some examples of my photos with it.

Hope this helps

Don - is it specifically the fixed 300 you are looking for, or the 120-300 F/2.8? (I use the latter).

another user of the 120-300, 2.8 all the way through, a better option to the prime IMHO

its heavy but im really impressed, it was cheap aswell compared to the nikons, who's only offer a prime and not zoom

well, pointing out the obvious, your not limited to just 300mm

you start at 120mm, and you can move from there to 300 to your hearts content

far more effective for plane togging in my opinion

If your priority is image quality there's no better option to a prime :D
