Flypast question?
Will there be any flypasts for the forthcoming rugby internationals at Murrayfield this Year?
Re: Flypast question?
MURRAYFIELD FLYPAST
Rugby fans at Murrayfield for this Sunday’s Armed Forces Day Test Match will get a flying visit from a Typhoon multi-role combat aircraft from No 6 Squadron. As long as the weather plays ball, the Typhoon will travel South to North passing over the length of the stadium moments before kick off. The aircraft will not be lower than 1,000 feet and so as not to disturb the Sunday tranquillity for the non-rugby fraternity, it will be travelling at the sedate end of Typhoon capability. The flypast is part of a wider Armed Forces presence at the event including information stands for all three services and a collection for military charities.
No 6 Squadron is one of two front line Typhoon combat squadrons based at RAF Leuchars, whose primary mission is ‘Quick Reaction Alert’ – the protection of UK sovereign airspace every minute of every day.

LEU 66 just got airborne
If it cant be fixed with a hammer, then its an electrical problem.
Re: Flypast question?
Any idea of an ID for the Typhoon? Just saw it both on TV and in reality.
Re: Flypast question?
