One of the best, on Film 4 1720 today 21/8/12, Dr strangelove.Seen it many times but never fails to make me laugh

Looked up the KC 135 55-3144 tanking the B 52 at the beginning of the flim and found this.

Next time have a look for the B-17 shadow on the ground as the B-52 turns for it's alternate, towards the end of the film.

Yeah saw that as well,would love to know where the air field was they used as Kubrick did not like flying it seems and made most of his films in the UK.FULL METAL JACKET was done in the UK as well , :unsure: :unsure:

In the Dr Strangelove airfield scenes were done at RAF Sculthorpe, the base is derelict now but the runways are used by the USAF for their :ninja: Duties.

Full Metal Jacket baracks scenes were done at the former RAF Bassingbourne, now Bassingbourne Barracks. the scenes in vietnam were done at Docklands in london,
