Online FS9?

My son was trying to fly some multiplayer on FS9 and it wouldn't find any sessions eventhough I had put the IP address in. I would like to ask if anyone knows why this is happening and If anyone wants to play to do some formation flying etc. But I dont have a Mic. My List of planes I have are:
