Hopefully helpful info.
The road to Allington gate, from junctions A303 to A338 Allington Track is closed for maintenance work 07:30 and 17:00 until 28 March 2025.
You might be able to get close via the Newton Tony dogs trust, but there will probably be quite a few other people doing the same and I would suggest avoiding doing so.
