Refuelling formation ?

Does anyone have any details of the formation that just overflew leuchars (11:00) at high level. I was in the back garden ( having a sneaky smoke) and looked up to see two large aircraft line astern and five, possibly six smaller jets in formation around them and didn't have time to get my bino's or camera, lesson learnt, bino's and camera now in the kitchen.
