Re: james bond on tv
Was indeed Lakenheath, if your refering to the scene where Bond flies in on an MH-53 (An old Mildenhall based one used for the shoot)
Re: james bond on tv
I seem to remember Lakenheath being used for a Roger Moore film as well, the one with the nuclear bomb on the circus train, there were some LN F-111s in that!

Re: james bond on tv
With this being in the "Modeling community" thread I thought you were on about the model to build on sale at the moment.
I'd better get it going in the right direction!!
Whilst watching it did they show the advert for the James Bond , Aston Martin kit , that you buy in weekly instalments?? first instalment is £1.99p thereafter £6.99p. I couldn't read the small print (Even on my 40 inch T.V.!!) So I have no idea how many parts it's coming in, but it's probably around 200 thus costing at least £1393 !! More than I ever paid for a full sized drivable car in my life (Until my present one !!!)

Unfortunately thats a car and nothing to do with military model aircraft so wouldnt be allowed on the model section so please can we get it back to the original topic of military aircraft.beefsteak wrote:With this being in the "Modeling community" thread I thought you were on about the model to build on sale at the moment.

Beef,
You don't have to be that way, it is just felt that this is an avaition forum and we have a general modelling gallery for such things, perhaps this would be best moved to there mods?

Re: james bond on tv
This is a friendly section and general chat amongst builders is allowed as long as it follows the main rules of the forum. So the subject may not have been directly about model building but it is about military aircraft asked by a fellow builder.beefsteak wrote:viper3111 wrote:Unfortunately thats a car and nothing to do with military model aircraft so wouldnt be allowed on the model section so please can we get it back to the original topic of military aircraft.beefsteak wrote:With this being in the "Modeling community" thread I thought you were on about the model to build on sale at the moment.

Unfortunately as moderators myself, Mark and Jamie are obliged to keep to the rules and steer the chat back within the rules. The other option would be just to have deleted the car post but like I said I try to keep things friendly.
Mark, there was nothing wrong with the original post otherwise I would have mentioned it so please carry on

Octopussy had Swingers in it. Don't think I've ever seen it so couldn't tell you whether it was LN or UH.SteveS wrote:I seem to remember Lakenheath being used for a Roger Moore film as well, the one with the nuclear bomb on the circus train, there were some LN F-111s in that!
