Leeming Sept 16

Post by Petepilot » Sun Sep 18, 2022 7:09 pm

Popped into Leeming for a few hours to try and catch the Chameleon traffic. HH-60s were not flying and Apache and Wildcat eluded my camera...just a few of the A400 and C130, and the "home team".

Nice shots. Which vantage point did you use?

Looking at the sun, light and height, I'd say the Bridge

Hi there. There is a small parking area at the end of the bridleway that parallels R34 approach, on the road that leads to the main entrance to Leeming. What3words ref is escalated.reefs.lifted.
Hope that helps.

Hi Pete

Some great images there.
I've popped across to Leeming a couple of times during the past few weeks and really enjoyed the variety of aircraft on show.
I'm hoping Yorknite will be on in November, in which case I'm sure I'll be paying another visit.

Cheers Rick. I left Chameleon to the last minute and missed a lot of good movements. Must try harder next time!
Like you, I'm looking forward to Yorknite. No doubt the weather and light will test us again this year!

Hi, thanks, but not as sharp as I would have liked! There was quite a strong wind and I was hand-holding a Nikon D750 with a Sigma 150-600mm Sport lens. I had a monopod in the car but neglected to use it, so my own fault! :grr:
