RNAS Yeovilton air day 1986

Post by MarkS » Sun Dec 20, 2020 9:23 pm

Been a while since I've posted anything, so here's a few photos from my teenage days at Yeovilton 1986 air day. All scanned from 35mm negatives and tarted up in lightroom.
Taken on an Olympus OM.1N :)

Cheers,

Mark

The Bucc even had my initials on the tail :)

Nice selection of pics there, I too visited this one on a hectic weekend. I think it was Alconbury show the following day.

Great flashback Mark - my one and only Yeovilton show. Over 150 aircraft noted and made 64! Nice bit of scanning with classic types.

A lovely selection of aircraft, and excellent quality scans. Good to see Super Etendards in old and new schemes. Thanks for posting.

Fantastic set from Yeovilton. Think this must have been one of the Air Days I missed, as I don't remember seeing these aircraft for myself.

If only this selection of aircraft could be mustered for the shows of today.

Thanks for posting

Remarkable quality Mark. Would you like to tart up some of mine? Looks to have been a damn good show. Particularly liking the Lightnings.

To a certain extent, Yeovilton shows are still something special, especially when you realise how few shows there are in the UK now.

Great selection Mark  Certainly a broad range of paticipants even foreign. Did the Mfg2 WGN Starfighters display as their duo team 'Vikings' or just static ? Always great to watch. A Leyland Marathon2 bowser too :Wow:
Alot of work gone into this post thanks very much for memory - never made it down to Yeovilton but this is great.

Hi Mark,

They could of been yesterday, great processing, be it to much variety and grey than todays offerings.

Could I ask what you did to process them so well.

Regards
Rob
