Definitely an Ascot callsign? I thought all Islanders/Defenders were AAC these days?
Re: BN-2 into Hawarden 21/3/17
Northolt Islanders seem to use "Ascot 79.." callsigns, at least when operating from my local airfield Waddington.
Ascot 7941 also landed at Waddington yesterday afternoon but wasn't showing on ADSB Exchange (they rarely do).
However ZF573 was showing on ADSB (without a callsign) earlier in the day north of London so may be the aircraft concerned?

Had ariel survey islander G-JPEG in the area in the afternoon...could be this.

Hi Jimbo
G-JPEG is a Hawarden resident - my source is definite the aircraft in question was calling "Ascot".
We do get mil BN-2's at EGNR fairly regularly so this one is not out of the ordinary in that respect.
thanks
