F-35B 1st Vertical Landing RAF Fairford 01/07/16

For those of you not on Facebook or Twitter .......

Two of the F-35Bs at RAF Fairford performed a flypast over the new Queen Elizabeth carrier at Rosyth followed by a further flypast and touch & go at RAF Marham which will be the New F-35 Lightning II HQ.











Also during the sortie they performed some Air 2 Air photography & filming which I believe will be on BBC1 The One Show.



I'm sure everyone will be bored with these soon .....

Good set , im not a fan , looks like a jet with an erection to me lol but nicely captured!

Nice photos but I beg to differ on the vertical landing, I saw the video and this was a STOL landing not a VTOL landing, short as opposed to vertical, even Harrier's didn't perform vertical take offs and landings away from their specially made extra hardened landing spots!
