It aint April yet & there would've been overly-excited persons all over this page with news had it happened?

I think he means read the thread as it will answer your question!
Re: Machloop ban
I could've said see 8 posts before yours Mr 'Lazylegs'....but by giving a serious clue that reading the Topic prior to posting can provide the answer to a query, I was hoping to nurture some interest into the Members for reading the previous Posts before requesting others to do the research for them.
Airline-speak = Each time you get a Commercial pre-flight safety briefing, the Stewardess says what I posted , with 'emergency exit' in place of 'information'.
Nighthawke is on the case!

I'm fairly fluent in the language of Subtlety - at least translating it, less so using it

Re: Machloop ban
I was very tempted to post a bogus link informing the world of Typhoon resumption but only inverted flight.
It would have gone down like a lead balloon and the mods have already started to mark my card, so I bottled out.
By the way, did anything come good with the Italian spaghetti tree project?

Re: Machloop ban
If you're referring to the chap who posted the shot of a RAFAT aircraft going through the loop claiming it was the last shot of the crashed aircraft, it's worse than that - the aircraft he posted the shot of is still very much in one piece and flying - and as the tail number was clearly visible at the time it increased the distress caused to a number of people who initially thought that people were affected who were, in fact, safe and well. I find it appalling that the chap who posted that got less "stick" for it than Debbie did for the video.cj9ru wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 6:58 pmIt is pretty sad all the bad feeling this is causing. It appears the pilot concerned made an error but surely that could have been dealt with by a good 'old fashioned dressing down' or 'toilet cleaning duty' as per old days. As for the poster I can't really believe she did anything wrong by posting at all. On the other hand 'he' who posted that photo of the crashed Red Arrow that resulted in a fatality to aircrew ( and was pretty obviously such) should have handed those photos in and definitely should not have posted it.
Things change over time. I guess low flying as we knew it is going to be at an end as in most cases it is no longer required. I think back to the very early 80s when standing at the top of the old quarry ( about 80-100 feet ) on the way up to Glen Doll during Scout abseiling with my father and looking down on a Buccaneer! Now that was low flying!
Perhaps we should just be glad we got to witness it all.

Re: Machloop ban

Which reminds me of a DoE Award w/end whilst assessing Gold groups in the '80s.
I was heading north, near the top of Gunnerside when I was undertaken by a Tornado. The backseater looked up and waved as the pilot lifted to rise over the ridge.
Made my day

Someone I know followed a family car speeding along a Cornish road. A little boy & an older girl waving madly at the pilot.

Re: Machloop ban
Reviving an older topic.
What’s the status on Mach Loop activities at the moment? Are all types of aircraft allowed now, or still a ban on fast jets?

Re: Machloop ban
There was various posts on social media last week saying the 48th FW will be staying away from LFA7 for the foreseeable future. Not sure how true, no official information was given

I seen this also, guess it’s the waiting game of whether anything passes through.
I believe it’s just Hawks and Texans at the moment but even they’re sporadic.

Re: Machloop ban
There has been a lot of rumours in the last week of a ban for all frontline RAF assets as well as the USAF being 'advised' to keep away from the loop.
Typhoons were already banned, RAF F-35's have never looped, and the yanks don't take advice, so as far as I can see its business as usual.
As already mentioned, we will wait and see, which again is business as usual in the loop.

Well Claw flight went low level in my local area of LFA7 last Wednesday, so I'm glad they are getting closer and saving me a 2 hour drive!!

Re: Machloop ban
Don't forget Mach Loop is a tiny portion of LFA7 , plenty of other locations within LFA7 still used away from "some" of the annoying presence of Loopers
