Iain,
Many thanks for the C-20 and the Pima stuff.

Nice logs there and helpful too. Those CH-53Ks - are they new builds?
Practical info on car hire. I went with Avis who had a deal with BA. I paid an extra £100 for a Samsung tablet with Satnav and internet connection which was definitely worth it because the BT roaming data didn't seem to work at all.
Cheers,
Ferrari

Nice reports
Another tip : When I was out there last year I found EE roaming didn't work on my phone - fortunately I had previously downloaded off line Google maps and saved favourites of the area i was planning on doing. So although 4G wasn't available GPS was working so Google off line maps allowed me to navigate via sat nav in the normal way.

Did the EE roaming not work at all or did it only work in the cities? I have previously had no issue in the Las Vegas area but admittedly we didn’t venture much beyond that.
Thanks
Andrew

Didn't work at all - i went to the EE shop in Vegas and they suggested buying a temporary SIM , admittedly for only a few dollars
I didn't get to the bottom of why it didn't work - I tried to use the online EE help chat box but that only works on 4G ( or 5G) you can't use you hotel WiFi to contact EE for customer verification reasons - but I didn't have any 4G - catch 22
Just remembered 3G was working in the KLAS area
It wasn't a problem as maps uses GPS but I had to make sure I did hotel booking and flights from a hotel with WiFi
As I say never worked out the issue and EE didn't refund me the 7 days data package that I could not use
Might have been my phone - it is quite old?

I might be wrong but for the US I think you may need to buy the roam further add on which is £25 per month. That’s what I’ve done. I will find out in a few hours!
