RAF MARHAM

I have copied this list & wonder if anybody can confirm whats still going to be at Marham tomorrow, I've seen posts saying a number the the listed Aircraft including the Red Arrows are now not attending, I'm wondering considering the poor weather forecast if it's worth going.

RAF Marham families day~12th August
Hawk
Tornado airfield attack
Red Arrows
Tutor
BBMF~ 12:45 (Spit,Lanc and hurricane) and Dakota at 15:25
Tucano
Newcastle JP XM479
RAF Falcon
King Air
F-15's~Static
Typhoon Static
Harrier Static
Vulcan display
Miss Demeanour, Hunter

Thanks

As you may all know there will be no Hawk display for the rest of the season! but a demo in the display Hawk will take its place, which is said to look better
A great shame Shame but not all lost :)

* have started to make plans for next year now and that i will switch from the 2010 thread to a new 2011 thread early next year.

* My website will be running all the way upto the first families day is announce but with limited updates and then will updated alot from March/April time.

*Hope to display the information alittle better next year

*Will be lauching a facebook group for next year to get the information across to more people, also as a disclaimer to provide information to the residents who live near the RAF bases and give them warning of noise increase.

If you would like to see some improvements or have ideas please inform me and then i will try my best to make the changes :)

Looking forward to the 2011 families days season,

Thanks, Cott09

Hey mate

You do a grand job keeping the enthusiasts up to date here, on UKAR and via your website. My thought is that you should continue doing just that. These are after all not airshows for the general public, something which many people won't understand if you start a Facebook group, no matter how many times you tell them!

As they are private events I'm not sure a FB group is really appropriate to be honest and if you stick to the forums you are at least informing people who know what the deal is with these events. Informing more and more people could open a can of worms and I reckon it's best left to the stations themselves to inform the local residents of any noise increases etc.

Cheers

One more 'big' families day left of the 2010 season, which is RAF Cottesmore families day on the 17th Spetember. Good line up with the possible additons of the Red Arrows, Vulcan and team Viper!

This maybe the last families day at Cottesmore :'( , but we may be lucky enough to get another year!

Who is planning to watch the displays from the outside or inside?

Thanks, Cott09
