NOTAM 20th April

Post by reaper493 » Thu Apr 19, 2018 2:39 pm

Wonder what this is for?

AIR DISPLAY BY MIL ACFT. 2 FAST JET ACFT WILL CONDUCT FLYPAST WI
5NM RADIUS 531401N 0003213W (LINCOLN CATHEDRAL, LINCOLN).
SFC - 15000FT AMSL,
20 APR 09:25 2018 UNTIL 20 APR 10:45 2018.

add 1hr for local

Surface to 15,000 ft
Suggests a Typhoon performance climb?
Maybe way off here, but is this the Funeral for Cpl Bayliss? He did used to be on 41 sqd.

Taken from Lincolnshire Catherdral website.
Access to the nave cathedral will only be available to those attending the funeral service between 7.00am-12.30pm.on Friday 20 April.
The east end of building will remain available to view – please ask a Steward for directions.
kind of confirms my thoughts.

Height limit could just be to keep other a/c away from the area during those times.

Could be 2 things happening at the same time, not linked, so might not be Cpl Bayliss' funeral.
Personnel from RAF Waddington and RAF Scampton will parade through Lincoln High Street later this morning for the 2018 Freedom of Lincoln Parade.

Join us on Facebook Live at 11.30 a.m for a view from the War Memorial.

Parade personnel have been practising hard through the week. Here's a short video from one of the parade participants.

Where in Lincoln are you?

Did they go directly over you?
