E-11 looks very smart, although I was expecting it to have interesting bumps on it - thanks for posting Paul

Oh that's got a bit interesting!

ACC style serial presentation, full USAF titles...and it's BACN fit has been removed.

Thanks for posting these - Love Velcro 04; first time I've seen the full USAF markings!

Not sure how accurate this is, but was once told that these were E-11's, and that there was only one E-11A - this was 11-9001, which had the various domes.

Same source said that the eventual plan was to remove these from 11-9001, but not sure how accurate this is - my memory may be playing tricks!

Anyway, great shots and thanks for sharing.

The full BACN fit is still in place. BACN is all of the aerials beneath the wings and centre fuselage.

Gents,

I think the confusion over the domes on the first aircraft configured as a E-11 comes from when the same airframe was used as a trials aircraft for the RAF Sentinel programme and was externally configured as a Sentinel. It retained the domes when it became the first BACN Global Express but are not associated with the BACN fit. The subsequent aircraft, like this one did not have the domes. Rather than post them and intrude on somebody else's post, here's a couple of links of when that first airframe came into Mildenhall in December 2010, when still on the civil register.
