RAF Lossiemouth Aerial shot

Post by TayportTT » Fri Jul 29, 2016 10:49 pm

I happened to be passing by Lossiemouth yesterday evening and after a couple of quick radio calls I was given permission to orbit - Thought this would be of interest to you lot!

See you all for Joint Warrior!

Quite a few changes since I left in 2003, what's being built just to North of the Fire section(far right of photo)?

If you mean the green hangar type building, it's clothing and barrack stores. If you meant the building site that's a new building for Rolls Royce and a Typhoon Detuner

Cracking photo, and nice to see Lossie from a less familiar angle! It's interesting to note how deceptive the view from the 23 end is when you see the layout like this from above. Thanks for sharing!

Just been looking through the archives of the RAF Lossiemouth section and came across this. Was wondering which building is 6sq's HQ's?
