Hi all,

Not posted here for a while but thought I would share these with you from a stunning day yesterday in Wales.

No.3 takes me back to the days when I used to cycle without my hands on the handlebars!

It’s not what you look at that matters. It’s what you see.

Lovely

I watched monster 1/2 depart Marham in the morning - they didn't look as good as your view

Did the RS C-130Js do a pass later on?

No.3 looks like he is using the HUD as a steering wheel... you learn something every day. Awesome pics, BTW !!

Thanks chaps!

His right hand is actually on the control column , the white you can see above the HUD is his knee pad so not quite "hands free" .I presume it's at some preset throttle setting , maybe someone on here may enlighten us?

Thanks again,
Cheers Gareth

Terrain following radar - saw a good documentary about 15sqn and the low level night training on Tornados - basically hands off and trust the computer.
Edit : these days Super accurate GPS could be used to maintain a height above ground.

No TFR on Typhoon, most probably got auto throttle selected and concentrating on 'doing the driving'.

Lovely stuff Gareth, shame I missed you.

I didn't know that - no TFR and not stealthy - how does it get in undetected?

No TFR for Typhoons well not originally and certainly wouldn't have be used in the tight turns in the loop.

Without TFR... does it have GMR?
Could do with an aircraft which has both, - oh, hang on

Hi all ,

Just thought I would let you know it's auto throttle (I have it on good authority) :thumb:

Cheers Gareth
