"Buzzards" depart Lossiemouth

Post by Thunder » Wed Oct 18, 2017 9:39 pm

The 510th FS 'Buzzards' are part of the 31st FW at Aviano along with their sister squadron the 555th FS 'Triple Nickel', however today it was a case of 'Triple Rare' for me.

A rare 5 mins at the fence line(so much that I'm surprised I can still find the place), a rare day of sunshine and finally decent a/c which is very rare. This was the first proper outing for the new camera and first time I've shot in RAW. I'm still not convinced the laptop screen is the best for editing on and I think some of the shots may have been over sharpened, so please be gentle and I would welcome thoughts and suggestions.

I arrived just as the F-16's were preparing to taxi so didn't have to wait long......

Nothing wrong with them, only managed to catch the first two but it really was a treat to see them at Lossiemouth. The last USAFE F-16s i can remember at Lossie were SP coded for a JW Exercise way back.
Cheers.
