Just to throw a spanner in the works, it has been reported that, on the way to the Bastille Day flypast, "TBIRD2" passed his tail number to "QUID51" as being 908 - which is not one of those being quoted.

1 - 388....??
2 - 908
3 - not heard
4 - 413
5 - 392
6 - 898
7 - 896

However, 92-3908 is according to the Scramble data base a Thunderbirds machine!

Thanks everyone for posting all this info. A great website, and improving all the time!
Reference the Thunderbirds team: Note that the 8 F-16s at Fairford consist of 7 single-seaters and one two-seater - however all the (possible) serials I have seen quoted are for single-seaters. Anyone have a serial for the F-16D?

Chris,

I cant find my post on here, but a repost of the Scramble info:-
Ever wonder how to ID the USAF Thunderbirds F-16's? There are two ways:
1. By the "remove before flight" banners. The last four of the serial are noted.
2. By the ejection seat. However you will require the canopy to be up and before they set the pilots helmet on the cockpit rail.

Hope this of help if you decide to travel to the US of A.
Sorry I couldn't reply before as I have been coming back from Mildenhall.
Cheers, Bob

Hi

Can anyone provide the serials for the BelAC F-16, the 2 x RNethAF F-16's, AAC Apache and the RN Sea King all on static please?

Also the AAC Apache for the flying display please?

I believe they were all due in today (14th) apart from the Sea King which was due in on the 12th.

Many thanks

Len :)

Update:- I understand that 92-3908 is one of the serials shown on the official RIAT checklist.

Can anyone post the others shown on the checklist, please?

Thanks very much.

The second Apache which arr Fri 14/7 @ 1615L was ZJ230 "Apache 1" on modeS. "Apache 2" was showing as ZJ203 on modeS which I believe has been eyeballed as correct.

According to the RIAT Checklist, Thunderbird serials are:-

91-0392, 0413, 0479 (F-16D)
92-3881, 3888, 3896, 3898, 3908.

One of the 'Cs was in the RH B-2 hangar today (Saturday). As the doors were open, you could just see its distinctive nose.
