"John's Field" Site Rules

Post by john@runway11 » Sun Apr 23, 2017 2:59 pm

There is a minority who have no respect for the site, I am fed up of people racing up the track. The speed limit is 5 MPH get it into your head and stick to it. We had a close call where somebody nearly got hit today. There are young kids on the site. I only have to say this once, if somebody gets hit, I am afraid it will be all over, the implications for me and the Farm involving a incident will be far and wide. Such actions threaten the continued operation of this viewing area. I can not be here all the time, if you see somebody speeding, tell them or report it to me and I will deal with it.

Its time to name and shame these offenders, almost everyone has a camera on them these days, wether it be speeding or littering they show no respect for anything let alone this hobby.

And it wouldn't surprise me if they failed to pay their £1........and how many others up there today didn't either?

Remember the use of the toilet facilities requires an extra payment.

Very sorry to hear this John, as I am sure your regular guests are too

I have to agree with GreenBat, they need to be named and shamed

Keep up the great work you do John. We really do appreciate it

John,
100% name and shame...not sure what forum rules state but I would post a picture of the "offenders" on here, I'm sure most people with smartphones would happily help ...just the thought of someone getting hurt by those that wont obey the site speed limit makes me go cold, especially the youngsters who come and visit.
Sorry you had to say something , but as you know by the replies , everyone is behind you on this. :thumb: :thumb:

Regards
Kev :)

Sorry to hear about this John, terrible.

Name and shame definitely. As Kev suggests, a kind of Rogues Gallery might work here. We've all got nice big zoom lenses after all.

See you soon.

Hopefully making 6 or so very ad hoc visits when passing to the field in next 4 days. 630am for an hour or so then
maybe evening for 30mins.

Can anybody point me to an FAQ. Just want some pointers re where to pay my money or so then disappear.

Is it still the honesty box or is there somebody I can pay on gate or caravan.

Great forum so any answers much appreciated!

Still an honesty box, near the toilet block to the right as you drive in. Put your registration on the paper with your £1 and away you go

Am I right in thinking that during the day you can leave John's field to visit say Chippy/Lakenheath etc and do not have to pay upon your return? Years ago when the original John was there that was the case you only paid the once per day, but I have not visited since, but hope to start again soon.

Hello,
I've emailed John this question but haven't heard back yet - could someone else help?

Are (well behaved) dogs under strict control allowed on John's field?

Many thanks
Tony
