Star Wars - Phantom Menace

Post by Ross Forsyth » Sun Nov 20, 2016 10:59 am

Well not really a menace as such but Phantoms in the Star Wars Canyon/Rainbow/Jedi Transition whichever name you prefer.
I was for once lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time when "Wam" and "Elvis" brought 2 QF-4E`s from Pt Mugu to Hill via the Canyon last month,a magical couple of minutes
which I thought I would never get the chance to see and photograph.Watching as the 2 jets pulled up and came around again for another pass...simply Phantastic.

Still the best. Phantastic shots; I don't think I could have held the camera steady with the excitement of realising what was about to pass. Brilliant!

See these on the QF4FSAT page as well, Ross... Phlippin' Phantastic.
Did so many people really just happen to be there by chance? :ninja: Insanely jealous? You betcha!
No beating these, probably not even the phinal touchdown shots... anyone else going for that next month?

To be honest I thought all the Americans were there that morning because someone had posted that a 41sqn GR4 would possibly be through at midday, because of where I chose to sit that day the first I knew was when I heard "2 times F-4 point C for low level Jedi Transition" as it turns out
the locals were expecting them!

Thanks very much folks.

Superbamonstrous.
What a beast, the arrival of 'Wam' is a classic and simply book worthy.
