Coningsby yesterday.

Post by gary1701 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 12:38 pm

Gents,

Did the Coningsby run from Suffolk yesterday. I bumped into and said hello to a couple of the guys I haven't seen for a while, as my last run up here was the day the Flankers went last year. Not a bad day, did the usual start at the South Eastern corner, move round to Reedham for the afternoon and then end up at the car park down the BBMF end at close of play. A sudden decision to run back to the 25 end when I saw the way the weather was going worked out rather well. Saw that Milky/Kev had the same idea!

The jets may have lost all the markings, but the drivers are still friendly!

Then down to Reedham.

Has bird control been axed or was it just off duty? I'd never seen so many birds on the field as yesterday, and there was no attempt to move them either.

Finally, the last minute run around back to 25 at dusk.

Looks like you had a nice days photography, what a pity about all the unmarked aircraft going about now.
