What amazes me is that people still have shots like these on their  computers!

With age comes wisdom (supposedly) . . . oh and rather slow reactions!

Image
One of a few from different occasions where FACs sometimes called a fast and low exit over a few excited viewers - the Hawk seems to be slow when its coming towards you but I soon realise that it's me that's slow!! The shot before this though was okay - phew, but must practice panning up and over my head and faster shutter speed. 1/500s 600mm equiv.

Image
I suppose my excuse on this occasion was that I was actually photographing a panorama near Hadrian's Wall when two Harriers came to play - yet again, I was all set to capture the perfect close-to shot, but the old brain forgot to tell the body to aim and pan a bit quicker! Must practice aiming and zooming out. 1/2500s 540mm equiv.

I don't have any of my worst on this laptop but will check my old hard drive but remember my worst moment was at Waddington 2 or 3 years ago.

Was a rain soaked Saturday and the role demo was near the end I had watched the GR-4's flypast a couple of times great vapour trails off there wings so went down to the front at the orange rope line.

Got camera ready and followed the GR-4 in looked great heading in a line towards me getting bigger in the view finder just about to click the button and some silly old sod beside me decided to put his brolly up in front of the camera.

Dont know if he understood my Scottish by he certainly knew I was not happy.
