Aviation Patches
Re: Aviation Patches
This is the 12(B) patch

Re: Aviation Patches
Nope they didn't have one, they did have a centenary challenge coin though and tshirts etc. Was chatting with the people they had on the stall at RIAT and they didn't know why no patch

Yes mate, didn't buy one- had both of them!

Any Lakenheath or Mildenhall Squadrons selling anything at Duxford today?

Recent acquisitions from a base visit to the 351st ARS. All straight off a lovely young airman. I try to get patches from actual aircrew (obviously still paying). Nothing too special but nice to get all the same

Is it known if the USAF updated their "Someone over thirty you can trust" B-52 patch I bought at an Alconbury show- ..."over fifty" perhaps!

Re: Aviation Patches
Gold border is the Commander's patch, it's a theme that is common in USAF patches but isn't always the border, sometimes is part of the patch that is in gold.Gary wrote:There seems to be a couple of versions of the Heritage patch? Seen one with a golden border too

Believe there's three patches. The non-Commander's patch has had two runs and there is a slight variation (most notable is the shade of blue used) between them.
Re: Aviation Patches
Think I'll be coming home with a fair amount of patches next week!
