Though I went for a birdwatching holiday I did see these from RAF Akrotiri. ( I'm a bit of a general avaiation watcher )

U2 taking off on several days
Typhoons ( fully armed )
Tornados ---"---
2 S & R NAVY Lynxs
C17
A400M Atlas
Airbus Voyager

Plus other Cypriot/Greek helis - what would have these been, looked like Hinds?

And then on my way back past Lakenheath, F22 Raptors including 4 over my house near Fakenham.

Your unknown choppers may well have been Cypriot Mi-24s which would explain why they looked like Hinds!
