Canon Zoom len

Im new to photography, Could anyone advise on the difference between the canon Back colored 70 to 300 is lens and the
more expensive grey colored 70 to 300 is .lens
I believe the later grey len have glass lens, does this really make a difference.

The white canon lenses are what they call L series lenses... Google them buddy

Hi Richard,

This kind of topic does the rounds reasonably often as people try to weigh up the pros and cons of different lenses. Probably your best bet is to try what nescafe37 suggested and give it a google - there's definitely likely to already be a topic answering exactly what you need.

I'm guessing you're asking about the Canon EF 70-300 IS USM and the Canon EF 70-300L IS USM (the latter being the white one) - if so, the link below might help you out:

Just to clarify things on the grammar front.
There is no such thing as a len.
It is a lens.
If you have more than one then you have some lenses.
Len on the other hand is a person.
If Len purchases a lens then that lens becomes Len's.

And for information Len isn't a person he's my Dad :P
