What do people think of them fueling and going back out? Engines still running and two hours left on the notam?

I presume the NOTAM is Zulu time, therefore the NOTAM is now closed.

Edit - my bad, I went the wrong way! Lol

Here's a link to the US 'Air Force Global Strike Command' news webpage which features details, photo links and a video link to the B52's arrival and deployment at Fairford for this exercise :-
http://www.afgsc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123450047

Based on last years deployment timetable as reported on this forum, although only guesswork, B52 operations can be expected from Fairford daily from 0700 local at the earliest to 1900 latest with core hours between 0900 and 1800 local. Last year there was no B52 activity on the Friday at the end of week 1 through to the following Monday so if the deployment has the same timetable this year then there will be no B52 Ops between 12/6 and 14/6 inclusive and they will then return to base on the Friday at the end of week 2, departing on 19/6 as early as 0600 local - they were timings as per last year so this is only guesswork as to plans for this year?

There is talk of the B-2's returning tomorrow and doing the same thing as today, changing crews and refuelling and then returning to Whiteman but who knows

As what I read on RAF Fairford Spotters group: "According to the crew its a different 2 every day for a fortnight"

This sounds great but isn't one B2 still here and hangared?
Any news on this one?

If you can keep your head whilst all around are losing theirs, you have probably completely misread the situation!!

The AR20(SW) refuelling track for the one that departed FFD at 10:00L appears to be 15:15Z->16:15Z FL260-280.

There is an identical reservation for 03:15Z->16:15Z FL260-280. That's exactly twelve hours after the first one. May suggest an 21:00Z (10pm Local) departure tonight for the sick one.
