My log shows me off out again on the 8th of October for Priory so you are probably correct.bigcrow wrote:Nice.. I was there maybe not on that day but during that week, if I recall the 57th FIS were there for Exercise 'Priory'

Great post - love all these old shots in this section - never got to Alconbury for a 'day out' - only one Air Tattoo
Thanks for taking the time to post
Cheers

Agree, some nice ones there and yes, the 57FIS were there for `Priory`.bigcrow wrote:Nice.. I was there maybe not on that day but during that week, if I recall the 57th FIS were there for Exercise 'Priory'
I spent the day at Alconbury on Wed the 8th and all 4 flew in the morning and again in the afternoon using `Priory`c/s "2T037 1/2" and "2T038 1/2 (am). For the (pm) missions they used "2T141 1/2" and "2T142 1/2"
Also flying were:
4 TR-1A's 95thRS
3 F-5E's 527thAS
8 RF-4C's 1stTRS
1 C-12F 58thMAS
1 C-23A 10thMAS
3 A-10A's 81stTFW
2 Mirage F1C's FAF EC.12
2 F-16A/B RNethAF 322Sq
After attacking Wattisham and then Wyton, 3 FAF Mirage 1VA's then turned their attention to Alconbury by overflying the base fast and low, south to north, between 1039 -1103.
... quite a good day out!
