A special commemorative flypast marking the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain will be among the highlights of next summer's show which will focus on aircraft from around the world whose primary role is to protect their nations' skies whether in support of combat missions, intelligence gathering, providing an airlift capability or delivering humanitarian aid.
Themed 'Securing The Skies - Past, Present, Future', the airshow will look to feature legendary aircraft such as the Spitfire and Hurricane, that proved so effective during World War Two; operational aircraft such as the RAF Tornado, currently in action over Iraq; and the RAF Typhoon, which remain on 24-hour standby in the UK and were scrambled recently to intercept Russian bombers.
We also hope that the futuristic Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II, which was due to take part in the 2014 airshow, will make its much heralded European display debut at RAF Fairford next summer.
Chief Executive Andy Armstrong said that with so much instability in the world, it was the ideal time to turn the spotlight on the important role air power has played and continues to play in making Britain and our allies around the world, safer.
He added: "Already, the response from international air arms has been extremely positive and we'll be looking to build on last summer's hugely successful event. With ticket prices starting at £26 and all under-16s enjoying free admission, the Air Tattoo continues to offer extraordinary value for money."

As 2014 draws to a close this is a perfect opportunity to provide an update regarding those nations that have been invited to the Air Tattoo in 2015. The full list is now online for you to view and we will begin providing weekly updates when we have some news.
We had a hugely successful 2014 show with a total of 224 aircraft from 26 Nations attending the Air Tattoo which, in today's challenging climate, is a substantial number and one that we will be striving to surpass in 2015.
Soon after the 2014 Air Tattoo we confirmed the list of countries that we wished to invite to the next show and quickly followed up by sending our invitations to the respective nations' Chief of Air Staff. A comprehensive programme of visits to the many Embassies in London followed, with a total of 48 Embassy visits completed to date, and we can report that the team received a very warm welcome from the respective Military or Defence Attachés responsible for the UK. Overall we are hugely encouraged by the positive outlook from the Attaché community and the phenomenal response from our invitation letters with eight Air Chiefs already confirming their attendance. This is an unprecedented number of confirmations at such an early stage in the planning process. You can see the full process in the infogram HERE
Our theme next year is 'Securing the Skies - Past, Present and Future' and with the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain taking place in 2015 plans are already underway for some unique flypasts and static displays. Many of you are asking if we have an update regarding participation from the USA next year, rest assured we are working hard with all of our international colleagues to bring the established favourites and some new and exciting participants to the Air Tattoo, unfortunately I am unable to expand on this work at the moment but rest assured, we will announce the details as soon as we are able.

FRIDAY 17 JULY - EXCLUSIVE 'PIT' ACCESS ON OUR BATTLE OF BRITAIN DAY!
Friday 17 July will be the focus for our official commemorations marking the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Attendance on Friday will include exclusive 'pit' access to operational aircraft, their crews and engineers; this will not be available on Saturday and Sunday.
On Friday there will be a four hour flying display with the debut of a special mass flypast of historic aircraft. The Vintage Village will take on the 'Battle of Britain' theme and will be expanded to include additional static aircraft, re-enactors and a number of other 'Friday only' features.
Improvements for 2015 include opening the showground from 7.30am, entry from the Green Car Parks through the Green Entry Point with upgraded and additional buses dropping you at the nearest accessible point on the showground (approx. 2 minute journey), additional aircraft in the 'Pit Area', more of the showground open as well as the Viewing Village Grandstand for that bird's eye view!
Following on from the success of the Red Arrows pit area introduced in 2014 this is your only opportunity for that intimate view of aircraft that will be part of the flying display. However, there are only a limited number of tickets available, currently priced at £26, so book yours now for:
- Controlled 'Pit Area' access to historic and other aircraft representing our 'Securing the Skies - Past, Present and Future' theme - open before and after the flying display.
- Four hour flying display from 11am to 3pm (pit area is closed during this time)
- Debut of a special mass flypast of historic aircraft to commemorate the Battle of Britain
- Full access to the East Showground from 7.30am to 6pm. Click here for the map
- Aircraft arrivals and rehearsals before and after the flying display
- RAF Village, Vintage Village, Techno Zone and Autodrome (NEW for 2015) open

Once the procedure for purchasing a ticket is complete you print out the ticket & the car parking permit, so two pages instead of one, that's all there is to it.
Just remember you need to take BOTH pages with you.
