This is great !

Post by Spitfire88 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 8:56 pm

Currently 4 x c17's sat on the deck at FFD south side very close to the road with generators running on all four and ramps down waiting to be loaded, whole base lit up with taxi way lights on all over and stealth hangar open with helos on show.
As a resident of Fairford my whole life it's fantastic to see Fairford so active I could of sat there all night and watched!

Any idea what's just come out of fairford.

Could hear it overhead in Swindon but no eyeball.

Sounds like the ospreys. But I assumed they would be heading back across the pond

Not sure whether you mean 9.30pm on Friday or 9.30am today (Sunday). If the latter, then only two were there (06-6165 and 04-4131). Later in the morning, 04-4134 landed at about 11:20, and '131and '165 T/O at about 11:30. '134 departed during the afternoon.
