Re: New to FC or not so new? Introduce yourself here.
Hi everyone, I'm very new to this forum. I live in the Lake district (near ambleside) and we get a lot of low flying aircraft up here during week days :-) I'm really into aircraft and have just bought a 80 channel bearcat scanner to listen in to the pilots as fly over, the slight problem I have is that I haven't got a clue what I'm doing with it! Could one of you good souls help me out on how to set it up and what frequencies I would be best scanning. Many thanks in advance. Steve

Hi everyone, my name is Brett, I am 54 next week, I am originally from Surrey but now living in South Wales and working at the Principality's only International Airport!
I have been a "Total Aviation Nut" since I graduated from nappies to short trousers..
My interests include anything that flies, any motor vehicle that does more than 140 mph, and any train that does more than 5 mph, especially if its powered by coal, water and oil!
I have been taking photos of aircraft for many years, but now I have a decent camera and lenses, I hope to improve considerably!

Hello All
I have been a lurker on Fighter Control for a year or two now, but as I am not an active spotter or photographer these days I didn't bother to join, but I have now. I had several years going to the USA and visiting bases and weapons ranges etc, I even blagged a ride with the Blue Angels, so i hope to post some images in the nostalgia section. Also i have some interesting items which I may later put in the for sale section.
Unfortunately with all the military cutbacks I doubt if I will be out with my spotting book or Canon 350 in the future.
It is still good to read about airbase happenings and the quality of images, especially Mach Loop is amazing.
