Happened to be outside this spot last night taking some other photos, then curiosity and a convenient hole in the fence made me decide to explore further - especially given the poor quality of the photos I managed to get last time!
A brief history - The Labs were built during the First World War to aid the production of Cordite from the Factory across the road. They were used for 'quality control' tests, ensuring that the materials produced were of a high standard. After World War 2 production of Cordite at Holton Heath stopped and it was eventually passed over for Defence Research, who left the site in the 1990s
