Quite an interesting scenario set up by the assessors I understand.Major Accident Exercise at RAF Lyneham
Royal Air Force Lyneham will be conducting a Major Accident Exercise at a time scheduled between the 17th and 21st May 2010. The controlled exercise is intended to test and prove RAF Lyneham’s personnel and systems of contingencies in coping, containing and resolving a major accident or incident that could potentially happen on the Station. The exercise will also afford the opportunity to bolster the professional relationships and coordination between RAF Lyneham, the Wiltshire Local Resilience Forum (LRF), Police, Fire, Ambulance and Local Authority.
To enable the coordinators to replicate a ‘real situation’ pyrotechnics and smoke systems will be utilised throughout the term of the exercise.
