It would have been my Dad’s 71st birthday tomorrow, so it seems appropriate to show you some of his vast slide collection. He started taking his first slides in the summer of 1971. He also attended every single IAT/RIAT apart from last year when he was too ill to attend. Here is a selection of shots showing the large variety of types & Air Forces which could be seen in the U.K in the seventies… I will be regularly updating this post when I get the chance to fire up the scanner.

Absolutely brilliant.
It's hard to choose a favourite. I think I had a Matchbox kit of that F-14 35 years ago...

Re: The Mick Freer Archives
A fine set of images by a wonderful aviation photographer, Mick's untimely passing was a great loss to our community.
Stu, thank you so much for sharing your late father's shots, please post some more.

Stunning images there
Almost impossible to single any out amongst all those pure gems of aviation history
Do love that Hastings shot though: reminds me of the wonderful shows at Coltishall in the 60's, as does the 226 OCU F3
Best regards, thanks for sharing, and looking forward to the next slice of your fathers wonderful work
