Can you identify these birds?

Hi all,

I included these in another post but I was hoping to draw more answers from a specific post. Many thanks for your help in advance.

It's worth noting that both these species were spotted in Exmoor on mountainous ground with heather and gorse bushes being the predominant vegetation. They are both small birds. Also the images are heavily cropped due to distance between me and the bird so apologies for the lack of quality.

I'm no twitcher but the first one maybe a Tree Pipit ?

First is a Whinchat and the second is a Linnet

Second one looks like a Linnet to me. There appears to be a slight rosy-ness on the breast.

Well Pawlee - when I was first trying to identify the first bird I too settled on Tree Pipit so there's no shame there!

Unidentified Raptor over mt garden this evening. Might be a very big female Kestrel but it didn't stop to hover, it just kept circling as if on a thermal (Which I'm pretty sure it wasn't)

It looks like a Sparrowhawk or, just maybe, a goshawk.

I thought Sparrowhawk too, but it wasn't grey on the back. You're probably right though as our urban conurbation ain't exactly renowned for its ornithological rarities ...............
