Haven't seen any Falcons leaving Hurn today which is unusual. Perhaps the fleet has been temporarily grounded?

I was just thinking as well about blocking out corporate references and registrations. Yes, they had an incident. Yes, everybody walked away from the incident. So what.

What have these guys got to hide really? I used to be the Local Emergency Response Planner for an international carrier at LHR, and one thing that I do remember is that as an airline (Operator) it serves no purpose to try and deflect attention from something that has happened - to act as if you are embarrased or ashamed. Incidents and accidents do happen, as to why that is a follow up activity. Those who are really interested, key customers, know the operator concerned, know of the event - its a given.

Perhaps recent bad press around this company has led to some knee jerk reaction by Head Office?

Wierd.

With regards to your comment about bad press recently what exactly do you mean as i haven't heard anything?

I think that is more to do with August being pretty much a holiday in the Navy than related to this incident. At the end of the day it was the result of a natural occurrance (bird strike) not anything mechanical so doesn't warrant a fleetwide grounding.

Yeah perhaps it's just coincidence, just seemed oddly quiet this week.

Anyway, like I said, one just left Hurn so they're obviously back in business now.

No grounding, Falcons have been as busy as usual from Teesside this week.
