At least you'll be able to see visiting aircraft better, at least until construction begins on whatever is replacing them.

Gave this response over on UKAR

I can confirm we have kindly been offered some parts for ours, a rece crew from the LPG were invited up there in Early November 09 to have a look at it all, and we have been promised the back doors, the back door rails, lights, switches and bit and bobs ;)

We heard this morn the shed is now just uprights and they werent able to save the back doors or back door hanging rails, but everything else we requested is safe and waiting collection

We will have to use the existing doors and rails, not a problem

Onward and upward :)

We can now will call in our doors guys and get them to assess what we have and then get started on the job of putting the back doors on and making them work as per adverstised

When this is done (hopefully by late Feb, we hope) another call will be made to our cladding contrators to come over and fit the back cladding, which was ordered back in late Nov 09 and is made and waiting fitment.

Then fit the personel doors and ...........................

The its done, JD

There were only 3 built, we have one, Leuchars is which is gone now, Binbrooks still stands but is very lonely on that muddy hill, owned by the local farmer and used to house farm kit, all very sad, but you cant 'save em all'

Doubt we will be saving another, ones enough for any group

Thanks to all out there who have supported us over the last 15 years of this project, it will keep the girls dry (and us) and will be a lasting museum piece to the Lightning force QRA

See you all in 2010, maybe May time ;)

Few pics before it was demolished
