Cruelty to Aircraft
The link of Abandoned, Forgotten and Burnt!! seemed very popular and thought it might be interesting to start another link on Cruelty to Aircraft and add the following as a started for 10

Re: Cruelty to Aircraft
What would be the point in the A1 with out it I hope if this aircraft is ever preserved, it stays exactly as it is.
I can see the Swift popping up on this thread pretty soon.

OK, I'll stick these two ladies here too:
While neither abandoned, nor burnt; these two certainly are a bit neglected and abused:
They sit in an annex of the Brno Technical Museum.
I took these pics a couple of years ago and have been meaning to go back to see if they've done anything to at least clear off the grafitti; however, I haven't managed to find time to get out there again.
The MiG-21 had some notable corrosion around the gear legs and the L-29 had a smashed canopy section.
I have no idea what the museum plans for these two, if anything.

This used to be a MiG-23! I stumbled across it in a scrapyard near Chelmsford. I think she's an ex-Foulness machine..

Yeah it was at Hanningfield Metals in Stock. That was back in April '09, not sure if it's still there now as I haven't been back in a while. Hope that helps!davedubya wrote:There's a MiG-23 in a scrapyard in Chelmsford?
