If we're doing rumours, I've heard that the entire Japanese Air Force is coming.

I love your optimism ,seeing the Indian airforce would be good but can't see it happening would love to see Canada rnzaf and some Chinese stuff but riat don't seem to be doing enough they. could have got a harriers from another air force flying at fairford but just seems like they want your money without giving in return. .

You just cannot go of what rumours are kicking about,
who is to say what other cuts this Goverment make, like cutting hours of flying or have to cut back so no airshows.

do not think the Olympics will help either, with the defence cuts all over europe Farnborough will not be that good either in my view.
certain RIAT will rumour something to sell its early bird tickets again.

expect the same or less then this year i would suggest, it aint going to be like any of the shows of past.

I think you mean themes for 2012.

As far as i can make out there does'nt seem to be any themes for next year i certainly did'nt see any reference to themes in the airshow programme this year.

I think everyone is dying to know the theme for next year I think transport and bombers would be good but we will find out in time does anybody have any suggestions for a theme.

Yeah it seems to be getting bare at riat the past 5 or 6 years wat with cuts and aircraft getting decommisioned all the time how much longer can riat keep putting the cost up and giving less aiecraft every year.

The organisers mad a big thing of saying how a Chinese delegation had visited the show and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They didnt say any more of course, simply planted the seed to allow for a cataclysmic over reaction and meltdown on messageboards. Thus people will want to buy tickets early for next year.

Just to add to the speculation, it is around the time of the Olympics next year so perhaps they can have a theme of Government air transport and we'll get a few early arriving presidential aircraft in the static!
