My son is really excited over this one - I was very lucky and scored the E-2 in the FC BoMF auction earlier in the year, this will be a nice companion to it and I have some nice reference pix taken at Kinloss a few years back. On the downside, painting 26 passenger seats will be a bit of a bind

I cant wait for this either  Made 4 of the E2Cs so far and can see me making a few of these as well  Can always make it with less seats as they dont always fit them all when carrying cargo rather than pax..well thats my plan

My thoughts too - the one I was aboard at Kinloss had fewer seats.

I've been waiting for the Greyhound for months! I keep looking at the Hawkeye in the local model shop and telling myself to leave it on the shelf and wait for the Greyhound...

I have to echo that - my son has the Hawkeye and it's a lovely kit. The big plus is that although both the Hawkeye and Greyhound are biggish models in 1:48, they have fairly small footprints if built with their wings folded and anyone who knows my obsession with what I call Foldy-Wingy-Thingies there is no option - they MUST be folded - after all how do they spend most of their lives?

Go for it Tim, you know you want to :halo:

Noo, I had a Hasegawa Hawkeye for months and I dumped it on Ebay eventually! I'm saving myself for the rather more shapely Greyhound! I don't need any more excuses to buy yet more plastic!

Just opened the latest box from Hornby, 6 Valiants and 6 GR9's!

One slight issue with the GR9, it doesnt give you the GR9 decal from the tail, so unless xtradecal/M.A. do/have done a sheet for it, doing any other options than the 5( you get 5 options from the 3 serials) will be difficult.

It's been doing the rounds for quite some time but there doesn't seem to be any more news. The company hit problems weeks back with one of the key players walking out. The story goes that the company is still aiming to release the projected kits but without the key man nobody knows when they will appear or how good/bad they might be. Think we're all just waiting for more developments but I fear it might take some time!
