Hawker Hunter AviationLtd (HHA) RAF Scampton
Thanks to Mick (HHA Chief Engineer) I managed to wangle a visit to Hawker Hunter Aviation Ltd (HHA).
This was a rare opportunity to see some ex-military fast jets that are in private hands but which are not often seen by the general public as they don't generally 'do' displays (too expensive) but earn their keep by flying on contract work.
BTW this visit was very much a 'one off' as the guys are too busy to normally allow tours.
Buccaneer S2B. 208 Sqn Lossiemouth's 'Famous Grouse'. Last seen by me in Desert camo..
Now parked in a tight corner and hard to photograph.
Hunter Mk58 J-4021 Boscombe 89
And now
Ex FRADU T8C XF994 #873
The Star of the Show though must be Su22 M-4 98+14
A tight squeeze
Even the 'vintage' tug was in mint condition
Look here for some decent shots of these Iconic Aircraft

Thanks again Mick,Neil and not forgetting Mat Potulski who owns them all!!!

Fantastic shots Is it still true they are only operator of the bucc allowed to fly in the UK or something ? Would be great to see her, and the Su22 up in the air again

Were either ZZ190 or ZZ191 there on your visit, both spend time at Yeovilton but I believe "191" went to Scampton on 28/1/11
Re: Hawker Hunter AviationLtd (HHA) RAF Scampton
It's XL587,we primed it in 2003 and painted the trailing edge where the ailerons sit gloss cherry red!!
Re: Hawker Hunter AviationLtd (HHA) RAF Scampton
Thanks for posting Ian - and thanks too for the link to HHA.
It's always good to see photos of Hunters, particularly the last few airworthy ones. Long may they grace our skies...
