Some more forty years old smudges...

Post by Fibrous Freddie » Thu Jun 26, 2025 7:57 pm

Congratulations on stopping by...
Following from my recent eighties Boscombe Down images...

Found a few negatives in the bottom of a drawer... First light since 1988...
I'm still clearing out.

Mid-1980's... Yeovilton... including a heat-hazed Canberra!

I used to have one afternoon a fortnight here or Boscombe Down for a period of about eighteen months... as an East Anglian I found it OK, but I pined for the land of Boudicca and escaped home by 1988.

Nothing special here but I'm now triggered to look for my Yeovilton starfighter and alpha jet images.
Maybe...

Slowly getting to the end... I've realised just how much we used to see, and also although I took some images I'm glad that I didn't spend my life looking through the viewfinder.
It's amazing how many printed images were disappointing and consigned to darkness for years; yet today...! Hmm!

Thanks for persevering

All for now

Toodle pip.

Once had a ride in a Heron, but a civilian one. Nice!. Also had an Airfix 1/72nd one in Queen's Flight colour scheme!.
