A KC-135FR is currently operating in sandy places showing as 574 on various tracking sites, can you/anyone confirm the Nimes situation as this particular frame is of some interest to me.

Re: Log Nimes-Garron 31/5/2024
On 28/09/24 (Istres show weekend) only ten KC-135 outside with 470 being the one not visible.
I can confirm Alize 48 still preserved on base.
Someone reported 1575 Alouette, did they mean 1075 a F-ZBAF?
Unidentified were two tailless S-2’s, they did have registration on folded wings but not read off unfortunately. The other two have gone. Also an ex DGAC Cessna 310 fuselage marked F-ESMA was landside by the end of the Sec Civile fixed wing hangars.
The last hangar on this side is partitioned and the MB339s are in right hand side when looking from landside. None identified.

Re: Log Nimes-Garron 31/5/2024
Thanks Bob/All.
I was there on 29th Sept and logged 9/10 135's and despite my best efforts, I couldn't I.d the 10th one other than it was 740 or 470..wish I'd realised it was Istre show weekend but as it was largely a non spotting holiday, I am happy with
What I got.

Re: Log Nimes-Garron 31/5/2024
I visited Nimes on the morning of 28th November because a couple of the guys I was with still needed a couple of the ex French KC-135Rs. We logged the following at sunrise.
474, 475, 735, 736, 737 and 738 in a line of 6.
471, 472, 739 and 740 in a line of 4.
Regards
Mark

Kev
Apparently 740 had US civil ID on port side nose in yellow. I did not notice but others in our party did and I only read off 740 from the waste ground by the Sec Civ helicopter ramp.
I see someone has posted log for 28/9 and managed to get of the two Firecats dumped on the other side.
