KC-46 serials
Why is there an anomaly in the fiscals against the serials.
ie 11-46057 and 8 surely these should be18 fiscal.
ie 15-46009 should be 16-46009?
There are other examples. I guess its something to do with the time they were sitting around waiting for finishing.

I'm fairly certain it's all explained in here :- viewtopic.php?f=287&t=196040
Re: KC-46 serials
These are the affected airframes, I believe it was all to do with funding for each fiscal year, so some were diverted, but I am sure someone will be able to confirm or correct.David Cunningham wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 2:02 pmWhy is there an anomaly in the fiscals against the serials.

15-46007 became 19-46007
19-46057 became 11-46057
19-46058 became 11-46058
19-46059 became 11-46059
19-46060 became 11-46060
19-46066 became 15-46066
19-46067 became 15-46067
19-46068 became 15-46068
19-46069 became 15-46069
19-46070 became 15-46070

Re: KC-46 serials
Because the database is wrong or maybe the box wrongly coded. Trackers aren't always right.
Re: KC-46 serials
My information shows that 46057-46060 are all FY11 not FY21. FY11 was originally allocated to the first four airframes built, none of which have been delivered as they were used extensively for testing and haven't been re-converted yet.
The first FY21 jet is 46084.

Re: KC-46 serials
Logic suggests the wrong box. Lets see what gets reported after they clear out of Mildenhall.
Re: KC-46 serials
Were they carrying serials, if so what was actually painted on the tails?
Re: KC-46 serials
The aircraft doesn't transmit its registration over ADS-B, only the ICAO address, which is then looked up in whatever database the site you're using, uses.David Cunningham wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 9:54 amLogic suggests the wrong box. Lets see what gets reported after they clear out of Mildenhall.
ADS-C, ACARS, VDL, etc. are all slightly different and may or may not transmit some or all of the registration - for these airframes it's generally the last digit of the FY and then the serial.

Re: KC-46 serials
That wouldn't help in this case as both for example 11-46057 and 21-46057 would show (if applied) as 16057.
These are however Fy11. I believe that due to delivery delays / upgrades there was some swapping around of which fiscal year monies payed for which airframes, hence the change in fy's. I'm sure there is a post on the forum somewhere that has explained this all before....

Corrected, I guess I forgot to update my sheet.raameagle wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 8:54 amMy information shows that 46057-46060 are all FY11 not FY21.
