One should always try ginger spice in their paddock entrance once. Though, it may not be for everyone ;)

Apart from Max winning by such a margin I quite enjoyed that, some great racing from Sainz I thought. At least there was an issue with the Mercs and it wasn't downright rubbish pace, I'm sure they'll sort it. It's been bad enough on here in years gone by with people who don't like the sport watching it and commenting how rubbish it is. Now we've moved to people not watching it and commenting. How few spectators were there, amazes me how few grandstands there are but even the ones they had weren't full, apparently the seats are cheap as chips too. Same with the Boxing in Saudi, they put on these huge events and nobody shows up. Speaking of which we're there next Saturday for the race 15:30. I'll be glad when we get back to Sundays in Oz and don't forget, if you don't stay up all night you're not a true fan :)

Forgot to say, think Jezza had had a few beers before Martin caught him on the grid.

Edit:

Yup

Like the Forest Entrance

I have only just cottoned on to the fact that the race was run on Saturday plus I won't be staying up all night to watch the event in Australia so I cannot be a true fan of the sport - Is F1 a sport ? The drivers hardly seem to be racing on a level playing field.

Ok racing held on Saturday as it is Ramadan in Bahrain and will be in Saudi

I hope Jezza in Jedda won't be drinking as they are pretty strict about that sort of thing ( actually I thought jezza had gone low alcohol!)

Christian and Geri Kissing in the paddock during Ramadan - oh no not another sex scandal!

The Las Vegas event is also due to be held on a Saturday to allow Worship by the congregation of the Television - we in the west have different priorities and cults

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦

The wheel nut incident was quite a highlight. A short “piece” about the operation of the nut system would be interesting.

Will the Saudi green hawks be flying over Jeddah?
Who will be second?

For what it's worth I won't be staying up either, used to and now it's a thing one of my mates ribs me over. Christian's fine, Ramadan doesn't actually start until next Sunday, the reason Bahrain was on a Saturday was because there has to be a 7 day gap between races. As it happens due to the time difference we actually get Vegas at 6am on the Sunday. Of course it's a sport, it's just one of the teams is miles better than the rest. Think of it like hunting, Rifle vs Giraffe.

I found that a giraffe was not even useful for close up. Far too unwieldy, the legs got in the way and the horns were difficult to sharpen.

Sainz Jr on the podium

Where will Sainz Jr end up now he has been binned by Ferrari at the end of the season, Red Bull? Perhaps Mercedes

Who will replace Hamilton? Vettel!

Yeah I like Sainz Jr he seems like a good guy as well as being fast and brave

Just watched the highlights - they were speculating that Merc only offered the Ham a two year contract to keep the door open for some young talent in GP2 or whatever that series is called now - someone called Kimi An.....

By the way very impressed how Horner fronted up for the interviews

Shame no-one at Ferrari could be bothered to celebrate with Sainz just before the podium-can't speak for the podium itself as didn't watch that. Not for the first time either.

Also easy to be smug when the only evidence against you is inadmissible ;)

Yes apparently his contract had a break clause after one year or something, I always thought they were in to favour the driver, guess not. So Lewis effectively had a 1 year contract. Andrea Kimi Antonelli is the guy, obviously more fun to call him Kimi though. Had an impressive career in the lower Formula, although only a single point from last weekends F2. Early days though, looks like he never went through F3 which is a bit odd. I'm really looking forward to seeing Lewis in a Ferrari, so much passion and history involved with the team. I generally follow British drivers rather than teams and apart from a brief spell with Irvine (Irish) I've not had reason to cheer them on. I don't think we'll see him win a championship again unless they pull off something special in '26 but hopefully a few race wins.
I watched the Ferrari film on Sky yesterday in the absence of a GP. More about his personal life than the racing, watchable rather than amazing.
I'm not sure about the Sainz thing, didn't watch the podium, I certainly saw everyone congratulating him back in the garage. Ferrari are so passionate about there racing, it was a good result and they binned him, not the other way round. Have all the mechanics etc. really turned their backs on him?

;) ?

We don't live in Russia - Thankfully that is how a justice system should operate. If there was any evidence of illegal behaviour it should have been handed to the police.

You seem to be on the same side of the fence as Jos Verstappen - not a comfortable position - anything anti Horner must be true.

Should be some good racing from Mercedes and Ferrari as team orders won't count for much
