Sadly, I have to report that I am developing a terminal tumour - of the Aesophagus type.
El Doctorey advises ETD some 6/12 months, but we do not know when the countdown started. I am to be blessed with a Stent next Wednesday, and am not looking forward in any way to all the gagging and discomfort that the installation may involve.
Fortunately, No.1. Son has a medium interest in aircraft so I do not have to worry about a safe home for my many scanners and the multitude of binoculars that I have collected over the years.
Plans are afoot for No.1 Son to drive me to the gate on several occasions before my final liftoff, and of course I'll keep you posted.

Incidentally, I watched an interview, early a few days ago, with Noddy Holder - ex Slade lead singer. He continues to survive his similar tumour, and has done so for more than 5 years.
